Greetings from Hi Lonesome!

We breed Pure European Mouflon Sheep in the "North Texas" Hill Country, where we strive to continually improve horn size and color while preserving the characteristics of the breed. We started with "Hi Lonesome King", a product of the famed Y.O ranch stock as our herd sire. "King" has great basal measurements with perfect heart shaped horns.

Our search for wider, longer horn with brighter white markings led us to Joe Hoover, a long time breeder of world class Mouflons (including a World Record) who got his start through renowned breeder Rickey Hunt. From Joe, we purchased "Hi Lonesome Wide Trak", a.k.a. "Wide Trak", a decendent of the great sire "High Horn Henry". With Joe's retirement from breeding world class Mouflons, Wide Trak is one of the last products of a great breeding program.

Recently we added a group of Texas Dalls to Hi Lonesome, including Twister and Tex, a pair of 3 year olds of Nance and Theis bloodlines.
